I was very lucky to live in Nashville for a couple of years in the mid 1970’s. Two of the musicians I played with back then, Jake Mayer and Tony Lyons, became so intoxicated with Irish Music that they opened an Irish Bar called “Mulligans” on 2nd. avenue.

In 1991 I went back to visit Nashville and the boys asked me would I sing for a couple of nights. Well I did and while it was happening my friend Vicki Cunningham stuck her small domestic cassette recorder on a table in front of the stage.

If you’re a high-definition sound freak this is not for you ... but if you’re up for a bit of banter and some laughs, this is a perfect antidoteto the heavy burden of life as we know it.

And for me, if there’s a bigger thrill than playing music and entertaining people, I have yet to discover it.
