The inspiration for this album came from a kid, my grandson Fionn O’Riain. I started singing to him at a very early age in his life and he didn’t complain.

Fionn loves animals and so do I. It was the easiest thing in the world to find songs about animals that we could sing together and here they are.

Jimmy Smyth put the album together. He is a great musician, producer and friend. His wife Jenny kept me supplied cups of tea and snuck in here and there on backing vocals with Sean Devitt and Paul Harrington.

On the track Havananimalweek, there are also outstanding contributions from Alexandra McDonald and Star of the Future Ms. Ruby Smyth.
